A brief history
Penninn Stationery was founded over eighty five years ago, in December 1932.
Penninn has emerged at the forefront of its field and due to its emphasis on a wider range of quality products and personal and resourceful service is now one of the 100 largest companies in Iceland, employing some 320 people, and is among the five largest retailers. In the last 20 years, the internal growth has been combined with external growth through acquisitions and mergers. Penninn has acquired several companies in sales of stationary goods, paper products, book retailers, importers and distributors of foreign books and magazines, tourist shops specializing in souvenirs, in addition to companies specializing in office furniture and school and conference needs.
